mssf_gal_46_01The 4th World University Boxing Championship is continuing very successfully in its 5th day. As you know, 77 boxers from 15 countries are competing in this Championship.
The 5th day of competition consisted of 10 semi-final bouts in five weight categories 49, 56, 64, 75, 91kg and the names of the boxers who will get golden medals are clear today's competition.

Light-Flyweight, Berkbayev Mardan of Kazakhstan has won his opponent Pehlivan Ferhat of Turkey on points. Another light-flyweight, Serdamba P, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Game silver medalist, World Champion has won his opponent Maszczyk Lukasz of Poland, European Champion on points either. However the audiences encouraged Maszczyk Lukasz in his fearless performance.

Bantamweight , Ulus Ferkan of Turkey has won Donchai Thathi of Thailand and Iderkhuu E of Mongolia has won Zakharov Sergey apparently so he is the 2nd boxer from Mongolia who is able to get silver medal. Tomorrow it will be decided silver or gold.
Onur Sipal of Turkey (64 kg) whitewashed Yutskevich Dzianis of Belarus (3:0) and he will compete for gold medal. Another light-welterweight, Tuvshinbat B of Mongolia, Asian Champion has won Sharibayev Aidar of Kazakhstan, European champion (7:1).
Yeustafyeu Siarhei of Belarus (75 kg) has won Yang, Yu-Tung of Chinese Taipei on points so he will compete for gold medal. Another middleweight, Efremenko Andrei of Russia has won Niyazymbetov Adilbek of Kazakhstan either.

Heavyweight, Ustembayev Daniyar of Kazakhstan has won Tutkus Eugenijus of Lituania and Karakazyan Alexander of Russia has won Muzaffer Bahram of Turkey on points in his last round. So he will compete for gold medal, either.

Final competition will consist of 10 finals bouts in ten weight categories 49, 52, 56, 60, 64, 69, 75, 81, 91, +91 kg.

Queueing up for the quarter-finals

mssf_medee_40The fourth competition day of the 4th World University Boxing Championship started at 3 p.m. At stake are not only the quarter-final places, but also the immaculate record of the so far unbeaten on the ring. In this reason there are more audiences more than previous days.

As for today’s competition consisted of 9 preliminary bouts in five weight categories 52, 60, 69, 81, + 91 kg. Ismail-Akhunov Khabi, Kazakhstan (52 kg) and Victor Gogolev, Ukraine (52 kg) fought each other and Ismail-Akhunov has won his opponents on points. Also Tugstsogt N of the Mongolia, World Champion, beat Sotnikov Dmitry of Russia in his opening bout in the World University Championship in Ulaanbaatar this afternoon.
The hard-hitting 22-year-old, Denis Berinchik of Ukraine dominated his first round at the Mediolanum Forum and came out a winner.  Another lightweight, Otgondalai D of Mongolia, did not have a hard time winning against Zhailauov Gani of Kazakhstan.
Svayev Rustam of Kazakhstan, 5th medalist from World championship has won his opponent Shinetulga L by referees’ decision. Onder Sipal of Turkey, a gold medalist from the Italy European Championship at welterweight, outpointed his counterpart from Belous Vasili, Moldova.

Light-Heavyweight, Erdenebayar S of Mongolia has won his opponent Abduganiyev Arbek of Kazakhstan apparently. (2:10)  So he is able to get silver medal right now. Another light-heavyweight, Ruslan Phaipher of Russia has won his opponent Dindar Golgek of Turkey on points in his last round. It made his fans really satisfied who are the best one in this competition.

Makhmudov Arslanbek of Russia, a gold medalist from World University Championship, Russia  at super-heavyweight, whitewashed Rygebayev Rustam  from Kazakhstan 1-0.
Today’s competition is staring at 1p.m. consists of 9 semi-finals bouts in five weight categories 49, 56, 64, 75, 91kg.

The delegations and competitors of the 4th World University Boxing Championship visited in the Natural History Museum of Mongolia. Organizing Committee arranged this activity in order to introduce Mongolian history, nomadic civilization, rare animals to young athletes and friends from all over the world. Ministry of Education, Culture and Science fixed out free charge for the participants to visit in the museum.

Meeting with the Mayor

ULAANBAATOR - This morning, September 6th, the heads of delegations, referees and members of the CISCA were invited by the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar Mr. Munkhbayar for a ceremony at City Hall. The Mayor has presented his city and wished to emphasize the importance of this kind of event for the development of the image of his city. FISU Treasurer Mr. Bayasgalan Danzandorj then took the floor to emphasize the vital role of the support of the city as otherwise it would be impossible to organize events of this scope.

Starts - 4th World University Boxing Championships

4th October 2010, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Today, the Fourth World University Boxing Championship has started in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The Championships will be staged in 10 weight categories with bouts of four two-minute rounds with a one-minute rest between rounds, according to the current rules of the AIBA.

Total of 77 athletes are ready to compete from 15 countries including Belarus, Costa Rica, Chinese Taipei, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Netherland, Moldavia, Mongolia, Poland, Russian Federation, Turkey, Slovakia, Thailand and Ukraine.

Russian, Netherland, Slovakia, Kazakhstan's athletes came to participate in the competition in Mongolia. And they are doing their training in the "B" hall. Now these delegations know about Mongolia and adapt in our climate.
